Spent the last week consolidating all of my photography for the past 15 years or so into a single well organised library on a single HDD which I copied to two HDDs. Rather than have a single device with multiple drives that could get fried, felt this was safer way to protect my shots by having multiple drives that exist separate from one another. I’ll probably change my mind a year later and do it differently, but for now will see how this goes. Cloud storage for massive TIFF and NEF files is not really there yet for me, but I have been thinking of what to do with my shots in the future.
In doing this exercise, it gave me the opportunity to mine my old albums for shots which I may have missed, and found some nice gems which I’ll start sharing. With the COVID-19 virus going around, it’s been hard to get out and organise a fun shoot, which is really a bummer. Had recently upgraded my D810 to a D850 and the only thing I’ve managed to take a nice shot of is a cup of coffee and toast.
This is a shot of the lovely Sue who came out to model for me a few years back. We went for a wander around Lavender which is an industrial area with lots of nice textured walls with rusty paint and nice shapes. So we used my custom light kit to create some spaces and shot around there.
