It’s time to act and take a stand against sexual violence. Are you making your voice heard?
Girls in Gazipur, Bangladesh, recently got together to demand an end to violence against women and children. The demo was organised by Plan Bangladesh with a clear message that rapists and abusers must be punished for their crimes. Students, teachers, journalists, government officials and NGO representatives were all there to lend support.
Protests against sexual violence have spread across South Asia in recent weeks in the wake of the rape and death of a 23-year-old student in Delhi, capital of India.
